How it works

Room for your next idea.

01

Tuck it away

Munch spots the tabs you haven’t touched in a while and lines them up. You pick what goes. Each link is saved before its tab closes.

02

Clear some space

Your browser breathes again. Pinned tabs on the left stay put, and automatic closing stays off until you switch it on.

03

Come back anytime

Everything waits in your Munch library. Search by title or link, then reopen it in the browser it came from.

A gentle tab budget

Pick a number from 5 to 200. Go over and Munch shows exactly which tabs would get you back under.

Keyboard friendly

With Munch active, open the panel and jump straight to search without reaching for the mouse.

You set the pace.

Review what gets tucked away. Automatic closing starts off, so you decide when it’s time for a little less chaos.

Your library stays on your Mac.

No account, telemetry, or cloud sync. Just your links, close at hand. A little more on privacy.

Privacy & a few useful details

Munch stores saved links and titles locally on your Mac. It saves links, not page contents, form entries, or entire browsing sessions. It can read local browser history to help judge last use; you can turn this off in Preferences. Website icons are fetched directly from websites, which see your IP address; turn off “Show website icons” to stop these requests. Browser access requires your permission. Safari connection may include private-window tab metadata.

Works with Safari, Chrome, and Brave. Requires macOS 14 or later. Open the DMG and drag Munch to Applications to get started.
