Connect Chrome once
- Choose Chrome in Munch's welcome flow or Preferences.
- Approve the macOS Automation request for Chrome.
- Open Munch from the menu bar to see the tabs available for review.
Munch uses macOS browser automation. It does not need a Chrome extension or page script.
Save a link and clear the tab
Select a Chrome tab in Munch and choose Tuck away. Munch saves its URL and title before closing it. To keep the tab open, choose Save link only. Your saved links stay in Munch's library on your Mac.
To get back, search by title or URL in Closed or All saved and select the link. Munch opens it in Chrome, the browser it came from.
Use Chrome's groups for active work
Chrome Tab Groups help organize tabs you are still using. Munch is for links you want to find later without keeping those tabs open. If a group is part of today's work, leave it in Chrome. Tuck away individual pages once you are done with them.
Chrome's own Recently Closed feature can bring back a tab you closed by mistake. Munch is a longer-term, searchable place for links you chose to keep.
What Munch skips
Munch skips private Chromium windows during cleanup. It also protects selected tabs and the leftmost tabs in each window when suggesting or automatically closing tabs. Because the browser does not expose a reliable pinned-tab flag to Munch, you can set how many leftmost tabs to protect in Preferences.
Brave is also supported. Connect it separately in Preferences and use the same review, save, and reopen flow.
